Iryna Sanina

Iryna Sanina is a prominent Ukrainian stage and screen actress. A graduate of the Kyiv National I. K. Karpenko-Kary Theatre, Cinema and Television University, she began her career on the legendary Kyiv stage, serving as a leading actress at the "Koleso" Kyiv Academic Theatre on the historic Andriivsky Descent during the early 2000s. Transitioning to the big screen, Sanina became an integral part of high-profile Ukrainian and international film projects. Her filmography includes striking performances in works by master auteurs, notably collaborating with the legendary Kira Muratova in Melody for a Street Organ (2009), as well as starring in landmark historical and epic motion pictures directed by her husband, Oles Sanin, such as The Guide (2014) and the box-office blockbuster Dovbush (2023).
