Eitan Almagor is a director of photography known for his dynamic visual style, technical versatility, and ability to thrive in fast-paced production environments.
His passion for filmmaking began at the age of 10 when he received his first camcorder. Early on, he developed an appreciation for the craft of visual storytelling through shooting on Super 8 film, VHS, and Beta tape. These experiences helped shape his understanding of light, texture, and the fundamentals of cinematography.
He went on to study film production at the USC, where he further refined his approach to visual storytelling. After graduating, he started working in the lighting department as a gaffer. This helped him to develop a deep knowledge of lighting design, building a strong technical foundation which later informed his work behind the camera.
In 2015, he transitioned into the role of cinematographer. Since then, he has shot a wide range of projects including feature films, documentaries, music videos, and commercials. Having worked on many films with demanding production timelines, he excels on high-pressure sets while maintaining a high visual standard. He is also a certified diver and underwater cinematographer, expanding his visual toolkit to capture striking imagery in aquatic environments.
Eitan values collaborating with passionate directors, producers, production designers, and creative teams to bring a unified vision to the screen. His process emphasizes communication, preparation, and creative problem-solving to support both the story and the production’s practical demands.
His diverse skill set and collaborative approach continue to make him a trusted creative partner across a wide range of productions. He has worked on productions for Netflix, Amazon, Hulu, Syfy Channel, Lifetime, and Hallmark.
