Biography

Jamaal Richmond is an eager opportunist ready to engage in the work of acting and film. He believes that we have the power to create our own destiny through faith and determination. Jamaal has written and performed in several short scripted films, worked to developed technical productions feeds, worked in casting and marketing and has professional theater experience. Choosing to move to Los Angeles, CA to pursue his dreams was the biggest step in his life, and although hardship and struggle have proven to limit his gains, it has not broken his spirit or desire to move forward in his career. Life began presenting its challenges to Jamaal at a very young age when he was diagnosed with Hogkins lymphoma at age 16 Feb14 2004; this caused him to lose his hair, skin pigmentation, even his self-esteem but never his will. In 2009 Jamaal had to receive emergency spine surgery. In 2010 Was diagnosed with melanoma and was told will have the rest of his life. These experiences only strengthened Jamaal's drive to succeed. Life has always presented its challenges to Jamaal, but nevertheless he's done his best to prevail.
