- Born and raised in the south suburbs of Chicago, TJ grew up making movies and playing music. TJ transitioned from just playing music to composing, recording, and mixing music semi-professionally; before finishing high-school.
Deciding to attend Columbia College Chicago's audio program, he graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Audio Art and Acoustics; with a dual concentration in Audio Design & Production and Audio for Visual Media. Studying under Grammy winning, and Emmy award nominated instructors, TJ was motivated to start a small recording studio while still at school.
Motivated by his sights on post production sound, TJ moved to Los Angeles in 2011. Within his first year of living in LA, he worked on multiple feature-length films, and an Emmy Award winning TV show. In the many years since, TJ has Designed for a multitude of award winning shows, films, and shorts; including providing the Sound Design on the Academy Award winning short documentary "The Queen of Basketball." And in 2021 he was personally nominated for an MPSE Golden Reel Award for his work on season 3 of "The Kominsky Method." He lives and works in Los Angeles, CA.
