Mike Fentiman was born on 27 September 1938 in East Ham, London, England, UK. He was a producer and writer, known for Film Extra (1973), Up Sunday (1972) and Comedy Playhouse (1961). He was married to Patrice Abrams and Dorothy Filby. He died on 22 February 2017 in England, UK.

He was one of the initiating producers of Late Night Line-Up and later one of the inventors of the BBC Community Programme Unit. Later he was important in International Public Service Television (Input) conferences.
