Biography

Abdulrahman Al Madani is an Emirati filmmaker born and raised in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. He began his filmmaking career with a student documentary, The Gamboo3a Revolution (2012), which won awards at regional festivals and screened internationally. He then shifted to narrative films with a silent film, Guilt (2013), and the anti bullying drama, Nagafa (2014), which gained over seven million views on his YouTube channel.

After graduating with a Bachelors in Applied Media from Higher Colleges of Technology (2014), he obtained a filmmaking diploma from New York Film Academy (2015). He graduated with a thesis film, Beshkara (2015), which premiered at Dubai International Film Festival. The film gained over two million views on YouTube.

In 2019, he received a Production Grant from Sharjah Art Foundation for his film Laymoon (2019). He then wrote and directed, The Monster (2021), about domestic violence. In 2024, he received the UAE Ministry of Culture grant for his film Oug (2025).
