Alex Carvalho is a director, writer and producer known for The Salamander (2021), a drama adapted from the novel of Jean-Christophe Rufin, La Salamandre. His films were shown at Venice International Critics' Week, São Paulo International Film Festival, Les Arcs Festival, MAM in São Paulo, the National Museum of Fine Arts in Santiago, Photographer's Gallery London and Les Rencontres d'Arles.
