She was awarded the MBE (Member of the Order of the British Empire) in the 2026 King's Birthday Honours List for her services to Animal Welfare and to the Veterinary Profession. She is a Professor of Veterinary Neurology at the University of Surrey and lives in Ewell, Surrey, England.
