Was a foster parent for 5 years, working with inner-city and mentally challenged children. (2006).

Works with his family's non-profit organization called We Change Lives.

Member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary.

Father is a Vietnam Veteran and has written a book about his life experience.

Skydived at 18,000 feet (2012).
