Biography

Vin grew up in Walkden, Manchester in the early eighties with his sister (England Lioness Kay Hawke) and mother (Jill). He studied sport science in college, toured Europe in a punk band, and bounced around the lower pyramids of English football's Saturday leagues before turning to acting. Primarily a screen actor working solidly in independent film, Vin's first character for a larger studio came in the form of George Barrow in 2018's "The Terror" for AMC, in which he portrays a well-spoken member of the British Admiralty: a far cry from his council estate childhood, and his harsh but friendly Mancunian accent.

Vin auditioned for the role of Mr Weekes, but was offered the part of George Barrow on season 1of AMC's The Terror.

Vin is a student of multiple martial arts, including Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Jeet Kune Do, Krav Maga, Muay Thai, and Kickboxing.

He is the frontman and lead guitarist in the heavy metal band Fight in the Shade. He is also the bassist in hardcore punk band Flat Back Four, and also founding member.

Holds a black belt in Karate.
