Born and raised in Louisiana, Marshall spent his childhood in Rapides and Avoyelles Parishes around many native francophones, influenced by their story-telling abilities. In his 20's he traveled the country and returned to Louisiana to attend the University of New Orleans for his undergrad in film. He spent several years directing and editing Louisiana indie films and docs such as Gumshoe, La Veille, Scandalous Moves, and Building Minds With Chess. In 2022 he began directing the first and only cartoon in Louisiana French, Boudini et Ses Amis. After enrolling for his master's in film in 2022, he began teaching editing classes as an adjunct professor. In 2024, he completed his thesis film "Fire and Light", graduating in May 2025. He continues to teach editing classes, is currently in the final stage of directing "Boudini et Ses Amis" (Season 3), developing a children's book, and writing two narrative feature scripts "The Ghost Witch of Bayou Noir" and "Cave Ma'am".
