Biography

Raised in Queanbeyan on the outskirts of the Australian Capital, Canberra. Son of Ian Hamill, Public Servant and Robyn Hamill. After Graduating from Queanbeyan High started a degree at the University of Canberra and later at the University of NSW in Landscape Architecture. Left to take a position at Zurich Insurance selling Insurance and later moved to Nudie Juice an iconic Australian Juice Company where he worked as a Customer Service Manager. After he deciding to pursue a career in acting he returned to Canberra where he undertook various courses both in Canberra and Sydney including Screenwise Film and TV School and Impro Act while working in a cafe and doing some part time modeling. His first film work came as an extra in some local Canberra productions the most notable of which was the Parting Gift directed by up and coming director Hew Sandison. While enjoying the spontaneity of Improvisation his focus is towards film and Television, particularly Soap Operas.
