Ben is a triple BAFTA-winning writer, director and cinematographer, working in documentary and drama. His latest film, ‘Kidnapped: Elizabeth Smart’ was a number one film on Netflix, his latest series 'See No Evil' (Channel 4) was described as 'remarkable television' by The Times and won Best Factual Series at the 2026 BAFTAs. His film 'Atomic People' (BBC/PBS), described by The Telegraph as ‘the most devastating documentary you will see this year’, won a BAFTA the previous year in 2025 for Best Specialist Factual Documentary. In 2024 Ben won for his cinematography on high-risk verité documentary series 'The Detectives' (BBC), which follows unfolding real-life cases in Manchester gangland.
Ben began his career as a camera assistant on cult comedy Peep Show. He is currently writing & directing a docudrama about Charles Dickens for the BBC.
