Son of Grammy Award-nominated producer William Stromberg, Keaton Robert Stromberg was born July 16, 1996 in Sequim, Washington. At age nine, Keaton would watch his older brother Wesley, who was 12 at the time, and friend Drew Chadwick record their own music. By the time he was fourteen, he was singing in the choir at Carnegie Hall before competing on the X Factor with Wesley and Drew, as Emblem3 after settling on a band name, at the age of fifteen. Although they finished at fourth, Keaton and his band, Emblem3, signed with Simon Cowell's record label Syco and Columbia records. On April 15, 2013, Emblem3 released their first single "Chloe (You're The One I Want)" and "Nothing To Lose," their debut album, on July 30, that same year. After member Drew Chadwick left the band, Emblem3 released a self-titled EP, "Forever Together." The band toured again and went silent on social media for a few months. In July, 2015, the band announced they'd be going on hiatus. Since then, Keaton has formed a band and released a single "Never Getting Older."

When I moved two years ago, it was pretty rad, but it was rough too-I had no friends. I got more confident and started talking to people. That's what you gotta do, you gotta try. You can't be scared.
[when asked about the first song he wrote] I wrote it for a girl at school. It was called "Come On Back." It goes "Come on back, because you know you're fine, I just want you to know you're mine. You come on home, and you're talking on the phone, you're talking on the phone, going on and on." It's so catchy. I loved it.

[on talking about how someone hacked Ansel Elgort's Twitter and fans thinking it was him] He DM-ed some girl and said, these kids hacked my account and unfollowed both of us. It was the most awkward thing. All of my fans saw, and all [Ansel's] fans think I hacked his account! [Ansel] ended up re-following me after I wrote that I didn't hack him.
I like a girl who's honest and someone I can trust.
