Biography

Harley Morris an artist of many facets. Started as a musician, he has always been into arts of many types, but is more of visual artist which was natural to want to draw quite a bit.

In 2002 was asked to help with an independent comic book by inking the book. Having never inked before he dove in head first. After that book he realized inking wasn't for him. He wanted to draw, not copy someone else's work and interpret it etc. However the experience was for not as it did help me gain focus.

With influences from Simon "BIZ" Bisley, Frank Frazetta , Alex Horley, even HR Giger, all amazing artists, he found guidance in BIZ's work.

As his creative evolution continues, he started writing a bit. He is working on his first feature film, Nailed Down.

Father, Husband, writer, director, artist, musician, poet and photographer! After releasing his first feature, Nailed Down, he just kept moving where his mind takes him! Art is art! Releasing 4 movie shorts, 1 music video for the Louisville band Stonecutters, releasing 6 screenplay books (Nailed Down, the Demonikas series, The Beautifully Disturbed, Thriller Killer, Guy Scropion and Dead Town Rising), his first poetry book (Chaos Head: The Birth of Violence & Solitude) and his first art book (Chaos Head: The Art of Harley David Morris). As for photography, he has been doing photography for a few pop culture conventions and behind the scenes short films.
