Biography

Sanchez Payne is the second of three children born to A. Wisdom and Brian Claxton Payne. He grew up in Chapeltown, Leeds where he attended Bracken Edge Primary School. It was there that at the age of six her was chosen by producers to take part in a documentary entitled 7 Up following the progress of his life at 7 year intervals. From a young age Payne showed a strong interest and talent for football and began his pursuit of a career in the sport at Yorkshire Amateur A.F.C. As he progressed through Allerton Grange High School he secured his a place with Leeds United F.C. The 7 Up documentary revisited his career development as well as personal struggles during the second installment, 14 Up including the death his cousin at the hands of gun violence.
