Biography

Evan Farber was born in Allentown, Pennsylvania, and grew up in Quakertown, Pennsylvania, just outside of Philadelphia. After graduating from Penn State, he moved to New York City where he started out writing many one-act plays for Manhattan Theatre Source's "Spontaneous Combustion" short play festivals. In December 2006, his two one-act plays, "One Night Stand" and "Fatherly Advice," premiered in Greenwich Village. The following year, Evan became a member of The Dramatists Guild of America and saw his one-act play "Blind Luv" make its premiere at The Bridge Theatre at Shetler Studios. In 2008, he co-wrote a sketch comedy show, "Skitz and Giggles," that was produced by Manhattan Theatre Source. The following year Evan contributed an article about the making of the film "American Reel" for the independent film magazine "Paracinema." Evan found great success when he wrote, directed and produced the full-length play "Community Relations," which premiered in Las Vegas in 2010 to benefit the non-profit "Aid for AIDS of Nevada" (AFAN). Evan's comedic radio play, "The Weird Weekly News," was performed at The Orleans Hotel in Las Vegas in January 2017. Evan's novella, "The Gypsy Woman of Washington Square," is available on Amazon. Evan lives near Las Vegas with his wife, Eve.
