Biography

  • My name is Oliver Brackenbury. I'm a screenwriter & author. I grew up around the corner from a five story deep cold war bunker, as one does, and can now be found living not far from a popular 1,815.4 ft tower in Toronto.

I'm a recent alumni of the NSI Totally Television program, where I developed my rustic scifi series Heirloom. I'm also busy bringing my second novel to term, as well as independently developing other projects for page and screen.

My first novel, Junkyard Leopard, was released in 2015 through the Bad Day Books imprint of Assent Publishing. It's available as an eBook or softcover, via Amazon, Barnes & Noble, and other fine retailers. In 2016 it was deemed worthy of inclusion in the Merril Collection of Science Fiction, which also holds fantasy and horror titles.

Sweet Fever is a comedy webseries about pro pillow-fighting and candy, which I wrote and co-produced with Sandbox Empire Productions. The IndieGoGo campaign to pay for the series finale was very successful, raising 148% of its goal. This meant, among other things, I could pay a professional artist to illustrate the five page Sweet Fever mini-comic I wrote as a reward for our backers.
