Biography

Rob Ziccardi

Overview

  • Height
    5′ 5½″ (1.66 m)

Biography

  • Rob Ziccardi was born and raised in Bensalem, Pennsylvania. He attended Our Lady of Fatima Grade School. In his free time he would make audio recordings on cassette of fictional talk shows. Rob shared one cassette with a classmate. His classmate returned the next day with a VHS recording and told Rob "You should do something like this instead". The classmate was Fred Hartwell, the VHS was 'WrestleMania III'. Ziccardi and Hartwell became lifelong friends and constantly talked, watched, and practiced wrestling. At Archbishop Wood High School Ziccardi excelled in lunch, and was Wood's first male cheerleader since Frankie Carbone graduated in 1967. After graduating High School in 1998 Ziccardi began wrestling in the parking lot of Franklin Mills Mall after mall hours. His first persona was "The Irish Potato" inspired by his mostly German-Irish ancestry. After security and local PD busted up the underground ring, Ziccardi went to CZW at the behest of Hartwell. Once in CZW Ziccardi was overwhelmed by the amount of Irish wrestling personas. So he decided to dip into his quarter Italian ancestry and become Primo Robbie Mireno. Several tanning sessions later a staple of CZW was born and continues to underwhelm fans of all ages. Ziccardi has been quoted as saying "Fred Hartwell is the number ONE reason I am in wrestling today. He showed me wrestling, he taught me wrestling, and instilled discipline in me. I love him and can never repay him."

Trivia

  • Contrary to the biography of fictional Robbie Moreno, Ziccardi is from the suburbs and actually grew up in a very comfortable environment.
  • Successfully campaigned for the owners of CZW to purchase tanning beds for wrestler use.
