How Zany (Haoyang Zhang) is an actor and auteur director who studied Film Studies at UC Berkeley. He aspires to write and direct auteur style independent feature films that focuses on telling socially impactful stories by way of using fiction to tell the truth, and he seeks to increase Asian American representation in media through his performances as an actor.

How Zany is inspired by films that makes him cry; films that have such cathartic pathos influence his work. His films tend to have a dark voice which presents life's harsh realities. He enjoys working with other creative people and especially enjoys the interactions between director and actor from both sides of the interaction.
