Biography

Gato Azul Peralta Bogdan

Mini bio

  • Legend has it that Miguel Abuelo, his father, known for his "hippie" lifestyle, gave him his unique name under the influence of psychedelic drugs his friends provided him with to relieve the state of panic into which he went at the time of his birth. He was first raised as a nomad due to his parent's constant traveling throughout Europe in the 70s and then in a setting roughly outlined in his father's song "Padre Soltero" (from his band's last album "Cosas Mías") after they finally settled back in Argentina and his parents broke up. Being the heir of the "Los Abuelos de la Nada" trademark, he's devoted to keeping his father's legacy alive. In doing so, he's provided vocals for the band's reunions on stage, singing their classics under Abuelo's helm. The band has also recorded unreleased material by some of the original members, such as his cousin Marcelo "Chocolate" Fogo, bassist for their last lineup. He also hosted the documentary "Buen día, día" (2010), which is on Miguel Abuelo's adventurous life and groundbreaking contributions to Spanish music.
