Biography

Ava Kay is a Canadian Screen Music Awards and Mark Award nominee, Canadian Film Centre alumni, and gold-selling songwriter, singer, and composer. Born in Toronto, she has written for global networks including Disney, CBC, Cartoonito, MAX, and The Hallmark Channel, and writes for Mattel projects Thomas & Friends and Barney's World. Her music has surpassed over 40 million streams across streaming platforms, charting in Canada's Top 25. As one half of indie-electronic duo Boss & Swan, her track "Raging Bull" was featured in the cult film American Mary and remixed by DJ/producer ATB into a European chart hit. She has also composed for The Door, Show & Tell, Banned, Muslim Mingle, and contributed score the epic series Great Lakes Untamed (TVO/Smithsonian).
