Comely, buxom, and shapely honey blonde knockout Dahlia Sky was born Melissa Kay Sims in Riverside, California. Prior to her involvement in the adult entertainment industry, she worked at various jobs that include fast food and a deli manager. Dahlia was contacted by an agent on MySpace and did her first hardcore sex scene in December, 2010 under the name of Bailey Blue. However, she was forced to change the name to Dahlia Sky in 2014 after a clothing company reportedly trademarked it and sent her a cease and desist order. She appeared in X-rated features for such notable companies as Smash Pictures, Lethal Hardcore, Zero Tolerance, Diabolic Video, and Red Light District. She was a veteran performer with more than 600 porn credits.

She had been battling stage 4 metastatic breast cancer and depression, something she regularly posted about on social media. According to her family, she was homeless and living out of her car in Northridge, California when she shot herself in the head in an apparent suicide on June 30, 2021 while inside her car in the Devonshire area of the San Fernando Valley area of Los Angeles. She was six weeks shy of her 32nd birthday.
