Biography

Antoine Karbaj was born on September 4, 1935 in Zabbougha, Matn, Mount Lebanon, Lebanon. He was an actor, known for Nisaa Fi Khatar (1981), Awraq El Zaman El Murr (1996) and El Shahroura (2011). He was married to Laure Gharib. He died on March 16, 2025 in Beirut, Lebanon.

His acting talent emerged at the age of nine, when he would write sketches and perform them with neighbors and relatives at his home.

His father was Shukri Kerbaj, and his mother was Irasama Karam.

He was the eldest of four brothers and a girl.

He received his education in public school and studied history and geography at the Teachers' College, graduating from the Jesuit University.
