Biography

Kim Van Houtte was born on the 19th of July 1990 in Bonheiden Belgium, to Inge Raemaekers and Patrick Van Houtte. From an early age on, she developed an interest in modeling, but didn't pursue a modeling career due to a lack of the necessary support or contacts.

While studying, Kim's many interests made her choose for several different main subjects in a row. Amongst other things, she studies hairdressing, tourism, marketing and multimedia. She graduated as a beautician, but by that time she had already met Dirk Vandereyken, who introduced her to the world of public relations, journalism and modeling.

Kim became the head photographer for sites such as Wellness Insight and Care Insight, and magazines such as BeauSense Magazine. She also started a quite successful modeling career, which was hampered due to the aftermath of her contracting glandular fever at age 17. By this time, she had also become a regular at beauty pageants, but after participating at a few select contests, usually getting through to the finals, she had to stop this hobby due to glandular fever and treatment for a wide range of intolerances. It took her a few months to fully recover and be able to concentrate on her career again.

In the meantime, Kim had studies acting at the Acting Studios in Los Angeles and at the Intensive Acting Courses organized by Dirk Vandereyken's Badass pr and British film company Cesare Pictures. She soon got a real taste for acting and decided to get into the movies, which led her to get a part in the English-language low-budget film 'The Same Day' and 'Innocent Belgium', which is slated to be released in 2012. Other film projects, both in English and Dutch, are in the works. Kim is also studying singing under the famous Belgian tenor and singing coach Teun Michiels.
