Biography

Egyptian actor and Theater director. He graduated from the Higher Institute of Theatrical Arts Department of representation and direction. His career began as an actor through the TV series, through serials like (My Aunt Safiya And The Monastery, The Republic of Zifta, Umm Kulthum). Participated in a number of movies with small roles in films such as (Eyal Habiba,Elwatar,Elragol Elghamed Besalamto). The most prominent plays as Theater director (Laugh And Play And Mazzika, Jaws Family).

He served as chairman of representative professions until he resigned from it in the events of the January 25 revolution after the association of his name with the operates of the artists in a demonstration to support the former President "Hosny Mubarak".

In the second half of February 2011 he was appointed as a manager to the cinema successor to "Mamdouh Ellithy", but he was soon in the office for a few days and then he resigned because of the outbreak of demonstrations of the cinema workers demanding his departure.

Appointed by acclamation as the chairman of The Union of The Arab Artists in 2009.
