Biography

Manfre (Seville, Spain) is a multidisciplinary film and advertising director, creative director and screenwriter. With degrees in film direction, film script and dramaturgy, she has been awarded in various international festivals (London, Berlin, Sitges, San Diego, New York, La Jolla, Los Angeles, Sarajevo...). Her works include the TV series Human Core, the multi-award-winning fashion film MYTH for the renowned designer Manuel Albarrán, and the musical cinematographic project Jericó for the artist Brisa Fenoy.

Her professional career spans a wide array of projects, ranging from the performing arts, the museum milieu, the music industry, world exhibitions, advertising and cinema. She has toured the world working in operatic shows with the performing arts company La Fura Dels Baus as a writer and assistant director to famous stage director Carlus Padrissa. She has also participated in diverse projects such as the curating and coordination of the Caixa Forum museums or the creative direction of musical artists from mainstream record labels such as Universal Music. Under the umbrella of Mediapro she has worked with the team of architect Norman Foster directing the audiovisual content of the Dubai 2020 Universal Exhibition, and has directed campaigns for brands such as Coca-Cola, Danone or Heineken International.

In 2010, she was co-founder, jointly with Iker Iturria, of the creative studio and production company Humanproduce, from where she co-created and co-directed musical, fiction, fashion and advertising films until 2018. In 2019, she wrote the book Amor o Poder for the publishing house Temas de Today (DeAPlaneta), in which she reveals the ins and outs of the Brisa Fenoy project in the music industry. Since 2020, she is represented as an advertising film director by the production company Twenty For Seven, in which she figures among the roster with filmmakers such as Isabel Coixet.

Deeply involved in clinical psychology and anthropological research, she is currently pursuing a double-degree in both disciplines, and applies this knowledge to the study of communication strategies, cinematographic language and the visual representation of the world and the human condition through the cinematographic arts.
