Biography

Ilke Paddenburg is an award winning director and actor. As an actress she is a part of the ensemble of International Theater Amsterdam. In recent years, she expanded her practice to directing and screenwriting. Her debut short film, ‘A Day in the Life of a Female Frame’, premiered in competition at Les Arcs Film Festival 2023. Her second short, ‘A Shot at Art’ was selected for, and had its world premiere in the international competition of the Clermont Ferrand Film Festival, where the film won the International Audience Award. Its North American premiere will take place in the Narrative Short Competition of the SXSW festival in Austin.
