Biography

Jon Monroe is a composer, producer, and guitarist based in Los Angeles, CA.

Jon began his career assisting composers including Rupert Gregson-Williams, Tom Howe, and Jim Dooley. Most recently Jon has co-composed six seasons of the Netflix documentary series "I Am a Killer" and the spin-off series "I Am a Killer: Released" and "I Am a Stalker" with Tom Howe, the independent feature "Something Casual," a has contributed music to the upcoming HBO series "Lanterns" and the final season of Netflix's "Outer Banks."

In addition to scoring, Jon has recently co-produced the song "Away From Home (Rushville's Lament)" from the upcoming series "Lanterns," and co-wrote and co-produced "Learn to Let Go" form the film "Everything to Me." Other production credits include the previous released album "Rock Beautiful Bottom" by Jerry Pines, and vocal production for a cover of Christina Perri's "A Thousand Years" recorded by the cast of Apple's Shrinking.

You can hear his guitar playing on scores including Dreamwork's "Ruby Gillman: Teenage Kraken" and "Gabby's Dollhouse: The Movie," and Netflix's "Jupiter's Legacy."

A native of Massachusetts, Jon attended Berklee College of Music, graduating in 2012 with a Bachelor's degree in Film Scoring.
