Iqbal Mohammed(I)

Iqbal is an award-winning writer and director currently working with the BFI Network on his debut feature film, Bowling for Bradford which has recently been granted the Early Development Fund. Iqbal has previously worked with the BFI on his 2021 short film, Tasbeeh which was selected for Oscar qualifying international film festivals; Urbanworld and Cinelebu along with BAFTA qualifiers Bolton and British Urban Film Festival. His previous films have screened at the BFI, Urbanworld, Vancouver and Tirana International Film Festival. Iqbal has also been selected for the prestigious Edinburgh International Film Festival Talent Lab 2021 for his in-development feature film, meeting the likes of BBC Films, Curzon, Bankside Films and Netflix. In October 2022, Iqbal was accepted into the inaugural BAFTA Connect program.
