Martin Garde Abildgaard is a writer and director from Copenhagen, Denmark. His debut feature A Beautiful Curse premiered at Cinequest Film Festival in March 2021, where it also won the New Visions Feature Film Competition. Martin is also known for his award winning shorts Lovebirds, Future Ruins, Organ, Hypoxia, Friday and America. In 2016 he collaborated with the Chinese contemporary artist and activist Ai Weiwei on the documentary Ai Weiwei at Cycladic.
