Vivek Soni is an Indian writer-director known for his intimate, emotionally grounded storytelling that explores vulnerability, companionship, and modern relationships within distinct cultural landscapes. His work often weaves together place, language, and music to create immersive emotional worlds.
He holds a B.Tech degree in Electronics and Telecommunication from ICFAI University, Hyderabad. He began his career in advertising at Ogilvy and Mather, Mumbai, before moving to film school to study direction and pursue filmmaking.
Vivek made his feature directorial debut with Meenakshi Sundareshwar (2021), marking the beginning of his ongoing collaboration with Dharma Productions and its digital arm, Dharmatic Entertainment. His work includes Love on Air, a docu-fiction segment in the anthology Love Stories, and Aap Jaisa Koi, continuing his exploration of romance shaped by geography, tradition, and contemporary life.
His subsequent theatrical release, Chand Mera Dil, is a young adult romance set in Hyderabad, starring Lakshya and Ananya Panday.
