Rosie Jones was born on June 24, 1990 in Bridlington, Yorkshire, England, UK. She is an actress and writer, known for Pushers (2025), Disability Benefits (2022) and Sex Education (2019).

When she was born, she stopped breathing for about fifteen minutes. Because of that, she has ataxic cerebral palsy, a condition that affects her movement and speech.

On July 21st, 2022, she received an Honourary doctorate of The University of Huddersfield.

Her first stand-up performance was at a friend's comedy night. She performed without any preparation.

She once worked as a junior researcher for Objective Media Group as part of Channel 4's disability scheme. Following this, she was unemployed for a few years.

I would love in the next few years to see more disabled comedians, directors, producers, commissioners. I hope disabled people can see me on TV and think: if she can do it, I can do it.
