- Babs studied comedy writing and improvisation at The Second City, Annoyance Theatre, and iO Chicago Theater, formerly the ImprovOlympic.
- Babs is a Second City Training Center alumnus and a member of the Conservatory at The Second City in Chicago.
- In 2010, she began studying under Bernie Sahlins, who founded The Second City improvisational comedy troupe with Paul Sills and Howard Alk in 1959.
