Jordan River is an award-winning Italian director, screenwriter, and producer, recognized for his work with cutting-edge cinematic technologies and for a body of work that explores introspective and sensory dimensions. His feature film, "Il Monaco che vinse l'Apocalisse" (2024), released internationally as "Joachim and the Apocalypse" (and in Japan as "Mokushiroku ni idonda shudoshi"), was under consideration for the 2024-2025 Academy Awards. Specialized in ultra-high-resolution cinematography (12K/17K) and Virtual Production, River combines a rigorous research-driven approach with a neuro-sensory narrative language. With an international background, he directed projects including "Dance - The Audition" (2013), shot between Italy and New York and acquired by RAI. A pioneer in the digital evolution of cinema, he directed "Apollineum 3D" (2012), the first Italian 3D documentary, and authored technical texts on stereoscopic cinema, including "3D Stereoscopico" and "Cinema 3D." The documentary "The Origins of Cinematography" (2017), produced with Istituto Luce Cinecitta, won the Silver Screen Award at the Nevada International Film Festival. "Stonehenge: The Temple of the Druids" (2018) was named by the Indian Express among its "10 must-watch documentaries," while "Caravaggio: The Power of Light" (2018) earned Best Documentary at the Terra di Siena International Film Festival. The docudrama "Artemisia Gentileschi, Warrior Painter" (2020) garnered numerous accolades, including Best Docudrama Feature at the Global Nonviolent Film Festival (USA) and the European Cinematography Award. "Joachim and the Apocalypse" (2024) marks a milestone in River's artistic journey as the first international feature film shot entirely in 12K and the first to incorporate the ThetaWave Cinematic Modulation System into its sound design. Developed in collaboration with Prof. Bruno Gioffre (University of Rome Tor Vergata), this neuroacoustic technology uses theta waves to heighten the audience's sensory experience, earning River consideration for the Academy's Scientific and Technical Awards (2026-2027). The film won Best Film at the 78th Salerno International Film Festival and the Terni International Film Festival, Best Screenplay in London, and the Global Medal at the Global Music Awards in Los Angeles.

River is currently working on the international production "Aeternum," a film conceived for the Imax format. He also serves as executive producer on several international projects, continuing to explore the relationship between technological innovation, historical research, and introspective inquiry.
