Roberto Cavallini

After studying Art History & Humanities in Venice (Italy), in 2010 Roberto was awarded a PhD in Visual Cultures from Goldsmiths (University of London). He has been teaching film and visual cultures in the UK and in Turkey (Yasar University) and he is Adjunct Professor in History of Italian Cinema at Boston University (Italy Programs). With more than ten years' experience as a film and creative producer for international projects, in 2016 he moved back to Italy and founded Altrove Films with which he produced four feature documentaries and three shorts presented at major international film festivals such as FIDMarseille, IFF Rotterdam, Festival dei Popoli, Biografilm. Since 2019 he works as film producer at Albolina Film (Bolzano, Italy), in charge of feature docs and fiction films for the international market. Roberto is an European Emerging Producer 2020 (Jihlava IDFF), EAVE graduate 2021 and member of the European Film Academy.
