Biography

Russ Posternak founded Post Film in December 2020, with a mission to produce and finance groundbreaking original cinema in partnership with the world's leading filmmakers, talent and producers.

Russ previously served as Director of Development for Yale Productions. With the company, he produced projects including BURN starring Josh Hutcherson, Suki Waterhouse and Tilda Cobham-Hervey and released by Entertainment One; Tribeca Film Festival 2020 selection BECKY starring Lulu Wilson and Kevin James, which topped the US box office upon its Summer 2020 release; and SEPARATION, directed by William Brent Bell, which recently wrapped post-production.

Russ also serves as an executive producer on STOWAWAY, directed by Joe Penna, starring Anna Kendrick and Toni Collette, and recently acquired by Netflix; and MISANTHROPE, directed by Damian Szifron starring Shailene Woodley and Ben Mendelsohn, produced by FilmNation. The film is currently in PR-production.

Additional titles co-produced by Russ include SXSW Film Festival 2020 selection I USED TO GO HERE, starring Gillian Jacobs and Jemaine Clement; CHICK FIGHT starring Malin Akerman, Alec Baldwin and Bella Thorne; HOOKING UP starring Brittany Snow and Sam Richardson; and CRYPTO starring Beau Knapp, Alexis Bledel and Kurt Russell.

Prior to producing independent feature films, Russ worked as a film publicist, under his own firm Post PR and previously at Murphy PR and Daniels Murphy PR, where he led publicity campaigns for films from clients including Netflix, HBO, Showtime, Magnolia Films and others.
