Babak Geranfar

Babak Geranfar was born September 30. 1984 in Ghaemshahr - Mazandaran Province - Iran. He started early by acting, directing and writing for the school plays and the local movie scene which won him numerous awards in Acting. In 2002, he entered Amirkabir University of Technology in Marine Engineering and continued by translating for national papers and running movie clubs of the University, but soon got expelled because of his political activities. Since then he has worked as critic, scholar, journalist and editor in Iran, Scotland and US. In 2010, His longtime passion urged him to start working inside the industry, where he started as the distributor and consultant for ISFA, IRIB, Soureh and Iranian House of Cinema. He started directing from 2012, and has directed and produced 8 episodic shorts which later released as "A Collection (Gozideh) and 1 documentary which later turned into Musical feature. He is now working on his next Musicals.
