- Ajay has travelled to more than 35 countries, including Tanzania, Peru, Nicaragua, India, and Norway. A stint in the rainforest of Costa Rica kick-started his passion for song writing (a lack of electricity helped!).

- Ajay's maternal grandparents are from India and his father's parents have Finnish, German, Lithuanian, and Polish roots.
- Most of Ajay's pets - Onyx the dog, Mitten the hamster, Kali the cat, and Norbi the crested gecko - had no tails.
- Ajay loves hip hop and has danced competitively.
- Ajay played a sort of "supporting role" in the Broadway tour of Miss Saigon - he went on tour as a baby with his family when his sister Amisha was cast as 3-year-old Tam.
