Keith Yandle was born on September 9, 1986 in Milton, Massachusetts, USA.

Played hockey at Cushing Academy (Ashburnham, MA) with Chris Bourque, son of Raymond Bourque.

Defenseman drafted by the Phoenix Coyotes #105 overall in the 2005 NHL Entry Draft. Traded to the New York Rangers on March 1, 2015. Yandle's rights were traded to the Florida Panthers for a conditional 6th round pick in the 2016 NHL draft, and a conditional 4th round draft pick in the 2017 NHL draft on June 20, 2016.
