Loc Dao is the co-founder of the groundbreaking NFB Digital and CBC Radio 3 studios and their industry shifting bodies of work.
Loc has been the Executive in Charge, Executive Producer, or Producer on over 50 interactive documentary and immersive(VR/AR) projects such as Gymnasia, Biidaaban, Homestay, Bear 71, Cardboard Crash, Unknown Photographer, The Enemy, Seven Digital Deadly Sins, Circa 1948, The Last Hunt, Welcome to Pinepoint and Waterlife released between 2009 and 2020.
Loc has received over 100 awards most notably Digital Producer of the Year, 10 Webby Awards, two New York Festivals Grand Prizes, three Online Journalism Awards, a Prix Italia, the FWA Site of the Year 2012 and a Cannes Cyber Lion.
He was the Chief Digital Officer for the National Film Board of Canada from 2016-2020 and advised the Government of Canada in cultural policy and Canada Media Fund in that time. He advised the Sundance Film Festival, Tribeca Film Festival, IDFA, and Vancouver International Film Festival from 2013-2019.
