Sweetshop Entertainment is a home for fearless storytelling, born in Aotearoa, New Zealand, and headed by CEO Sharlene George. Emerging from the global production powerhouse The Sweetshop, originally co-founded by George in 2001, Sweetshop Entertainment champions diverse voices and authentic perspectives, delivering cinematic, culturally rich stories that inspire, entertain, and endure locally and universally.

Untold Tales of Tūteremoana (ImagineNATIVE 2023) for Whakaata Māori and NITV with Hiona Henare. Birds Eye View Season 1 & Season 2 (Best Children’s show NZTV Awards 2022); animated TV series with Studio Local for TVNZ. Datsun (Berlinale, SXSW 2020); a short film with Mark Albiston. Testify (nominated Best Drama series NZTV Awards 2024) 6 x 1 hour prime time TV series for Warner Bros directed by David Stubbs and Paula Whetu Jones.
