Claire Amadea

Claire has always been in the arts, since childhood, developing an affinity for painting, sculpture, and theatrical makeup at an early age. They began working as a professional stage performer at age 9, and obtained a talent agent for film and television shortly thereafter. They actively pursued a career in performance for most of their adolescence and early 20s, graduating with a four year degree in vocal performance. In their 20s, they embraced LGBTQIA2S culture, and began delving into the world of drag performance.

After graduating college, Claire had the opportunity to perform in a new operatic work with the student opera association at their school, that entailed extensive prosthetic makeups. They offered to help with the makeups, and quickly discovered they had a talent and affinity for it. After that, the rest was history. Claire began teaching themself everything they could find on special makeup effects, devouring book after book on the subject, and experimenting.

Since then, Claire has become an in-demand, versatile artist for film, television, commercial, music video, and theater work, and they have also worked as a demo artist and instructor at international trade shows and makeup schools. They frequently manage departments that encompass both makeup and prosthetic makeup, and also fabricate pieces for other artists.

Claire is an outspoken advocate for racial justice and LGBTQIA2S issues.
