Gerard Mack is an award-winning film composer and sound designer based in Melbourne, Australia. He earned his undergraduate music degree from Melbourne University and pursued a post-graduate degree in Composition with a focus on film and TV. Gerard owns Cacophony Studios, a surround sound mixing and post-production facility. Since 1999, he has composed music for feature films, short films, TV series, jingles, and games and has received numerous awards for best score and best sound design at international festivals. In 2024, his work was featured in multiple films on platforms such as Netflix, Apple TV, Amazon Prime, and Tubi, where he was credited as a composer or sound designer. Gerard has also been a judge for best sound and best score at the AFI AACTA awards in Australia. Gerard Mack is a Melbourne-based Australian composer, re-recording mixer, sound designer, record producer and multi-instrumentalist working across feature films, documentaries, television, independent games and streaming productions.
