Biography

Gimena Gómez is a mexican actress, singer and dancer. She was raised in Boca del Río, Veracruz. She studied a 3 year acting bachelor degree in "Casazul, Artes Escénicas Argos" from Argos televisión. She also studied music and singing in Escuela de Música DIM, and ballet, contemporary and urban dance in different dance studios through all her life. Her debut as an actress was in the 2004 with the classic theatre play "Don Juan Tenorio" from José Zorrilla, that every year is played around the day of the dead in Mexico City. She has starred movies in Mexico an in other latin american productions as well such as "No es no" from the dominican Félix Limardo (2023), "Pole Dance" from the award winning mexican director Maryse Sistach (2023) and "Escuela para seductores" from the Mexican Giovanna Zacarías. She played the villain role in the latin american version of the dutch comedy "Misfit" from Enchufe tv, Touché Films and 2bTube studios, and won best supporting actress at the Dublin international comedy film festival for this character. (Hbo Latam) She also participated in "Conversaciones" from Eduardo M. Clorio which won different awards in the "Around International Film Festival" in Barcelona, Spain, and in the "Florence Film Festival" (prime video). She has participated in several mexican tv series such as "Archivo Muerto," "Falsa Identidad" produced by Argos Televisión for the international tv chain Telemundo (Netflix), She played Sofía La valle in the Mexican version of "Educando a Nina" produced by Tv Azteca, she played "La rubia" in the tv adaptation of the novel "La bandida" produced by Sony Teleset, she also played Salma Hayek character in the Julio's César Chávez bioseries "El César" produced by BTF media, (Prime video) she participated in the episode 5 of the second season of the american tvseries "Mozart in the Jungle" directed by Roman Coppola (Prime video). She was also part of the main cast of the soup opera "La Malquerida" from Televisa, and the tv series "Niñas mal 2" and "Último año," produced for MTV latinoamérica;. She also participated in "Me mueves"- produced by Once T.V. In musical theater she recently played "Sandy" in "Grease" (Ecuador) and she played the main role in "En el 2000," and in the play "Rosa mexicano". She played "Maureen" in the broadway's musical Rent in Mexico city (2017) and was nominated as best actress in a musical in the ACPT awards. She also played Dora in "Feliz Nuevo Siglo Doktor Freud" and participated in the Mexican version of "Gouttes d'eua sur pierres brulantes " from the German R. W. Fassbinder. She also participated and in "Las Muertas" and in "Don juan Tenorio." As a singer and songwriter she has an independent album called "Yo soy" in all the digital platforms that was produced by Mario Santos. She has also participated in the soundtrack of her own movies as in "Misfit" and "Pole dance."
