Biography

  • Rei is an American Actress, indie writer/ director, and producer. As the younger cousin of ESPNs Chauncey Billups, her family is no stranger to the lime light. She may be easy on the eyes but under the looks this Colorado native is a tomboy with witty charm and a flirtatiously mysterious nature. Born Desire Aisha Barnes, Rei, started on stage with ballet at age 6, where she debuted as a Sugar Plum fairy. She grow up working dance ensembles, there she discovered and became enamored with plays and soon gravitated to film. Rei started auditioning for acting roles and training in Improv while she attended the Art Institute for Film and Animation. Rei has appeared in films such "American Dream?", the sci-fi series shorts "Afterdust." She later began training in the Meisner technique under Lea Marlene (understudy of John Ruskin, Meisner's Apprentice). Not long after studying under Lea Marlene, Rei debuted in Hollywood, in Justin Rauls rendition of the play 'For Colored Girls', which she booked a lead role. Rei is seen as an actress that raises to the occasion, who understands and embodies emotionally sensitivities, with a wide range of role versatility. She brings life to complex characters who grow and expand as they are being viewed on screen. She compliments her softer sides with an edgy eclectic range of genuine interests, martial skills and energy, making her a double edge blade. With compassionate heart showing on her sleeve she has elements to be an unforgettable love interest, connective reluctant hero, or irresistible villain. Having roots in boxing, cool demeanor Rei has edge to be your next action hero or darkest villain, especially, if you need those elements all in one. As even her tactical trainer, Colton, claimed quote, "Rei is a natural and would be a gift to any seal team."
