Terrell Norris

Terrell Norris was able to experience the best of both worlds as a child. He was born in Pittsburg, California, a small suburban town in the San Francisco Bay Area. His mother, Cecelia Wilson from Chicago, and his father, Gary Norris from San Francisco, provided Terrell a wealth of knowledge. Hobbies like music, sports, fishing, and cooking combined with positive life lessons regarding perseverance, street smarts, and unconditional love helped Terrell transpire into the hardworking, talented actor he is today.

Terrell had his first job at five-years-old, picking weeds out of a local parking lot. He made five dollars a day and a muffin, but better yet was able to learn about responsibility and dependability at a very young age. His parents split when he was seven-years-old, and his mother provided for him the best way she could. He had shelter, a loving family, and great friends, but when she needed some help a couple years later, Terrell moved to the inner city of Oakland to live with his father. Through hard times and pandemonium, he learned what not to do, what not to become, and knew there was a better way. In search of better opportunities, Terrell moved back to Antioch, California to attend high school. He joined the basketball team and had friends from every social group while always staying true to his unique, funny, kind, and charming personality.

After graduating high school in 2004, Terrell made a spontaneous decision to move to Las Vegas where he was introduced to acting. He was part of an independent film, Leo Las Vegas, and dove into the world of acting by studying and watching his favorite actors. When watching a late night special with Denzel Washington, he discussed the importance of theater and encouraged young actors to get on stage. A year later, he moved back from Las Vegas and began taking classes at the Academy of Art University in San Francisco. While attending the university, he took Denzel's grave advice and joined Black Repertory Group Theatre in Berkeley. He co-starred in August Wilson's Piano Lesson and had a supporting role in Lorraine Hansberry's Raisin in the Sun.

Terrell previously moved to Los Angeles to pursue his dream but due to the writer's guild strike and recession, he was unable to find work and moved back to San Francisco. He continued acting and began attending various workshops led by inspiring individuals including Hollywood Director Tom Logan and Casting Director Sarah Kliban. He also was a part of on camera and scene study at Nancy Hayes Casting Agency. In 2012, he was the lead star in a short film called Zane and also had the opportunity to play a pilot in Red Tails. Through persistence, dedication, and his undying passion for acting, Terrell was able to move back to Los Angeles in February, 2014. He immediately began training and continues his training at the Bernard Hiller Acting & Success Studio. He recently completed a short film, Take Liberty, and has a recurring role in a comedy web series called Five Minutes of Funny.

Terrell is a star in his everyday life and destined to be a star on the big screen. Not only is he extremely passionate about sharing his God-given talent with the world, he is even more eager to help people find their special gifts and encourage them to work hard every day to succeed.
