Biography

Erik, co-founder of Film Vandals, has pursued the silver screen since childhood; a passion attributed to his father. Edwin taught Video Productions for the local High School, and it was that exposure to media production that ignited the flame for film within his son. That early exposure evolved overtime into earning a degree in Film and Video Studies with a Specialization in Studio Production, allowing Erik to become a second-generation Video Production teacher. However, teaching others how to achieve one's own dream is self-defeating, and Erik moved on, continuing his dogged pursuit of the silver screen.

It's well known that all aspiring directors are required to either be a waiter at a diner, tend bar, or date a sad chick with bangs, Erik, his passion knowing no bounds, did all three while also failing as an aspiring writer - his future success was all but assured. Thanks to those tip-less double shifts, sad girlfriend fights, dozens of rejections letters from various publishers, and two decades of hard work, Erik is now an award-winning actor & multi-award-winning director.

Erik is best known for his gregarious demeanor, passion for storytelling, and his ongoing battle with misplacing printed scripts - both on and off the set. He proudly attributes his empathetic approach to leadership, creative method to directing, and overall communicative nature to his mother, Beverly, a public social worker, community helper, and all-around lovely lady.
