Henry William Galpin was born in Barnet, Hertfordshire, England, UK. He is an actor, writer, director, producer, editor and cinematographer, known for Foyle's War (2002-2015), Private Peaceful (2012), Psychosis of a Sane Man (2012), Christmas Truce of 1914 (2014), The Life of Rock with Brian Pern (2014), The Pity of War: The Loves and Lives of the War Poets (2016), Wolves of War (2022), One Ranger (2023), Boudica (2023), War Blade (2024), Blackwater Lane (2024) and Christmas at Plumhill Manor (2024).

Attended Anglia Ruskin University in Cambridge and graduated with a 2:1 degree in Drama and Film Studies.

Attended Stratford-Upon-Avon College Year-Out-Drama course in 2003/2004.

Attended Suffolk New College where he was awarded the &#39;Sir Trevor Nunn Award for Best Performance in Acting&#39; (2009).
