- George Christopoulos, a lifelong enthusiast of film music, made a pivotal career shift when he left behind a successful tenure as a multimedia event Creative Director. In 2010 George established OTICONS, a talent agency dedicated to representing film composers globally, with a particular emphasis on promoting independent cinema.
Today, OTICONS proudly represents over 25 composers from more than 15 nationalities, carving out a strategic niche in the consultation of international co-productions. Through OTICONS, George has cultivated strong partnerships with various film festivals, providing grants and consultation for work-in-progress films showcased at prestigious events such as the Venice Film Festival, Red Sea International Film Festival, Vancouver International Film Festival, and the Amman and Malta International Film Festivals among others.
In 2024, George naturally transitioned in film producing, too, using his long track-record, reputation and know-how to produce crossover IPs and stories he is passionate about.
Since 2012, he has been sharing his expertise by lecturing on the role of music in film and the film music business at numerous festivals, universities, film schools, and scoring academies. As a mentor to emerging and established composers, he offers personalized mentoring courses aimed at helping them navigate the complexities of the industry and enhance their career trajectories.
George Christopoulos is also a voting member of both the European Film Academy and the World Soundtrack Academy, further solidifying his influence and commitment to the film music industry.
